The PTA plays an important role in this learning experience. Together with the teachers and staff our members plan assemblies, programs and activities to support and enhance our children’s day-to-day education. The PTA also organizes events for the whole family to enjoy together. We couldn’t do this without the parents and members of the community who join the PTA. Joining the PTA is simple. Click on the Membership link on the right to print the Membership form. Fill out and send to school with the membership dues. All PTA members are encouraged to come to the monthly meetings. All are held at school, some during the school day and some in the evenings. The schedule can be found using the link on the right. At these meetings, which are very informal, we discuss what is going on in the school and the district. We plan activities and develop programs to support the children and families of Willow Bend. We make friends and in many cases long-term relationships. If you have a specific interest or want to dig right in, check out the Committees link to see a list of the committees. Contact the chairperson listed in the Calendar to find out about joining the committee. You don’t have to join a committee to participate, but there are many things you can do that will fit your schedule or make use of your talents. Use the Committees link on the right to find out about specific volunteer activities. The Calendar lists the committee chairpersons. Contact them for information about how you can get involved. |
