Welcome to the Willow Bend PTA Website and the 2008 - 2009 school year; Parents and Teachers working together for our kids. Here are some recent highlights:
The PTA needs you to volunteer. We make wonderful things happen for the students of Willow Bend, but we can’t do it without your help. Please make the time to be a part. Grab a friend or make a new one and try something new! There is always guidance and help; you are never alone. Our PTA is composed of moms and dads that work full time, part time and that stay at home with their kids...there is a place for everyone, no matter what you do for “work”! Willow Bend Earns NEU Designation, the seventh school in Community Consolidated District 15 to earn that designation. No Excuses University schools are a network of K-8 schools across the nation dedicated to aggressively promoting college readiness for all students and universal academic achievement. Congratulations Willow Bend for being named a 2007 No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. We are one of just 19 schools in Illinois and 287 nationally to earn the prestigious education award this year. Get more details from the News Release on the District 15 web site.
District 15 Names New Superintendent
Labels for Education and Box Tops for Education are again being collected this school year. Start now! Go to the www.labelsforeducation.com website for a list of eligible Campbell products. Envelopes will be sent home this fall to aid in the collection. |
